Aloka Ultrasound Rebirth Raffle: a post-clinical organ transfer. One night in February 2026 to celebrate 25 years of ZEITGUISED and 15 years at Torstraße 15 in Berlin, and to say goodbye to the rooms.
Fifteen years earlier the studio, coming from East London, had taken the space over from a gynaecologist. Now a gynaecologist was moving back in. So the farewell came with a vintage Aloka ultrasound scanner, and the guests scanned their own insides. BYOB: bring your own belly.
Every scan was read as a Rorschach form by an AI art critic, an ominous entity with an optimistic view of the world, and named in exactly seven words. The interpreted scan bloomed across the LED wall and went up, with its name, on a live web wall, still online. A hundred bellies in one night and the following day.
Guests entered a winners-only raffle for studio objects. ZEITGUISED left Torstraße reborn ectopically: an art and design studio for latent hardware and operative voids.
P.S. Or so it would have occurred. Instead, we broke the 40-year-old ultrasound the night before. It was working fine up until then. So we had to frantically find a new solution, and we did. Now we are still looking for someone who can repair our vintage Aloka ultrasound. We think it might just be the power supply: perhaps some ancient capacitors gave out.
