Peripetics, or The installation of an irreversible axis on a dynamic timeline, is a piece in six vignettes, made for the opening exhibition of the Zirkel Gallery. It imagines disoriented systems after they take a catastrophic turn. In a nonlinear order we see expressive constructions: the gallery installation of an oversized educational model of a plant-body-machine, a liquid plaster turbulence forming a staircase, the supersonic induction of heart convolutions.

The setting is a contemporary art gallery, pushing questions about the meaning of representational imagery in times of ready-made simulation, and of an art market circulating virtual images rather than material objects.
